In 1848, the land our building is situated on, was owned by two famous Kaukauna residents, George W. Lawe and Francis Desnoyer. They sold it back and forth to each other over the years. In the 1950s the land was owned by BW Fargo Inc, commonly known as Fargo Funeral Home. According to Melvin A. Raught’s book, Early History of Kaukauna, the Fargo family once had a home here, alongside their business. More recently it was the Law office of attorney Paul Van Berkel, who served as the attorney for the City of Kaukauna. We are proud to be part of the Kaukauna community and look forward to many more years here!
